Book and Paper - A room without books is like a body without a soul

About Us

Book and Paper first opened in May 2009.  Owners, Wenche Osland and Sue Martin wanted to offer a community bookshop, where people could enjoy all that books have to offer.

In Cicero's words "A room without books is like a body without a soul" seems to capture the importance of books in our lives. Books can take you to places you have never dreamed of, they can soothe the soul, teach us, offer sanctuary, or simply give you a good laugh. As lovers of books we like to encourage others to enjoy books as much as we do and we provide a wide variety of titles allowing our customers to have the opportunity to find that 'perfect' book.  We strive to achieve this by hand-picking our books and by giving 'one on one' assistance to those who need that 'extra bit of help' when making a choice may be a challenge.

We value the importance of instilling a love of reading in our children and pride ourselves on having an extensive children, teen and young adult section. With our experience as parents and Sue's 25 years in education, we offer knowledge and an understanding of the needs of both parents and children in making their reading choices.

We are located in beautiful Williamstown at 36 Douglas Parade - just across from the Coles Supermarket.  We look forward to seeing you in the shop.
